The suspension takes effect from Monday, February 8, the statement signed by Public Relations Officer Mustapha Salifu pointed out.
"This is to allow for work to be completed in some of our theaters and recovery wards at the Department of Surgery that are being rehabilitated and re-equipped to improve the quality of care."
Emergency cases will, however, be attended to “after prior arrangements are made in respect of such cases”.
Non-emergency cases have been referred to other hospitals within the metropolis.
