The incident happened in Katariga in the Sagnarigu District of the Northern Region when the deceased, whose name was only given as Mohammed had a quarrel with the second wife, The Mirror reports.

Eyewitnesses say the man has had no peace ever since he married his second wife, Azara as the two wives quarreled almost every day.

This compelled the first wife to leave the house, leaving her children with Mohammed and Azara.

But Azare subsequently picked a quarrel with her husband and refused to cook for the family.

The first wife was notified and decided to return.

However, on the first day of her arrival, another quarrel ensued which led to the man’s death.

The man has since been buried according to the Islamic tradition and custom.

Police are yet to begin investigations into the incident.
