Prempeh College received GHC 40,000 for emerging champions of the 2017 National Science and Math quiz
Prempeh College beat off competition from St. Thomas Aquinas and Adisadel College in a nervy final on Thursday to win the National Science and Maths quiz for the fourth time.
Nine Schools managed to reach the semis, namely Mawuli Senior High School, Mfantsipim School, Prempeh College, Ghana National College, Adisadel College, University Practice Senior High School, St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, Presby Boys Senior High School School, Legon and Kumasi High School.
The six losing semi-finalists received GHC 10, 000 each, with the Adisadel College receiving a prize money of GHC 20,000 and packages from Tigo and GCB Bank.

St. Thomas Aquinas, the runners up were handed a cheque of GHC 30,000 and packages from Tigo and GCB.
Whereas Prempeh College, the eventual winners took home a cheque of GHC 40,000 and packages from Tigo and GCB.
Prempeh College, based in Kumasi were the first school to win the National Science and Maths quiz in 1994 and they won the contest again in 1996, 2015 and 2017.
However, Presby Boys, Legon are the most successful in the anal of the this academic contest, having won it five times.
