Bishop Agyin-Asare is celebrating his 35 anniversary since getting into the Ministry of God, and has lined up a series of events to mark the milestone.

Speaking to Ghanaweb.com, the Pastor revealed that his past life was nothing to write home about until he was saved by Jesus.

He spoke about some social vices he used to be involved in, saying he started womanizing at the tender age of 14.

He further disclosed that he was so “bad” that he was involved in an abortion for the first time when he was still a teenager.

“I had my first abortion at the age of 14. I was bad. But when the Lord shall set you free, you are free indeed,” he recalled.

Asked if he was also involved in drugs, the Bishop said he started drinking and smoking at age 11.

I was into drugs, smoking…I started smoking at the age of 11 by 12 [I] was on marijuana, causing all kinds of trouble but when I met Jesus in 1980 he broke the power of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and all kinds of things from my life. I was 18 years old,” he said.

Bishop Agyin-Asare also shed some light on how he met his wife and long-term partner, Vivian Agyin-Asare, who he co-founded the Perez Chapel with.

“We met in 1984 and married in 85. When I saw her my heart was like ice block placed in the sun. I knew this was the woman. Everything was now nothing anymore and she was the woman I wanted to make life with.”
