Social media was agog with images of some NPP party executives in the household of the landowner of Talensi, better known as Tindana (Spiritual leader of the community).

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied media reports that the party consulted a spiritualist ahead of the by-election in Talensi.Images of some NPP party executives in the household of the landowner of Talensi, better known as Tindana (Spiritual leader of the community) were circulating on social media platforms. Notable among them was the Ashanti regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi. But speaking to Starr News, national youth organiser of the party, Sammy Awuku vehemently denied the reports saying they only went to pay homage to the traditional leader of the area.“It’s preposterous. It’s only coming from a mischievous mind. There is a place; a town within Talensi called Bare, inside Bare, the landlord of the place, he is an elderly man; even the chief of Bare and that of Tongo consult this landlord. He is revered. The NDC can choose not to deal with the people of Bare. We have chosen to speak to every electorate and educate every electorate,” he said.He added: “Once we got to Bare, it was important that we also go to pay homage to the Tindana and I’m surprised that the NDC is now running this revered leader [down] and denigrating him”.
