Thanks to her starring role in The Hunger Games franchise, which has proven to be a box office phenomenon, Lawrence had a shot to the top of the list. Meanwhile, a good chunk of the actress’ income also comes from her lucrative contract as the official face of Dior.
Coming in at number two is Scarlett Johansson with an estimated $35.5 million. The actress, who makes around $10 million per film, had two huge blockbuster hits in the past year. Her supporting role in Avengers: Age of Ultron and starring role in Lucy helped secure her second spot.
Melissa McCarthy nabbed the third spot with $23 million. The comedic actress headlined two big hits in 2014 and 2015, Tammy and Spy, respectively.
International star Bingbing Fan, who took in around $21 million, is the only non-American to make the list. In addition to starring in big movies overseas, she has endorsement deals with Chopard and L’Oreal. Jennifer Aniston rounded out the top five with a year’s take of $16.5 million. Despite some of her recent films only finding moderate success at the box office, she still earns a hefty figure from endorsing products such as Aveeno and Smart Water.
