Academy Award-nominated actor, Liam Neeson, has signed up to star as the famous Watergate informant, Mark Felt, known as Deep Throat, in upcoming historical spy thriller ''Felt.''
Liam Neeson will play Mark Felt, the famous informant for the Washington Post articles that brought down the US president in 1974.
According to Deadline, the 'Taken' actor is in final talks to star in the Peter Landesman’s thriller.
Mark Felt, Sr. was a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) special agent who retired as the Bureau's Deputy Director in 1973.

After keeping secret for 30 years his involvement with reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, Felt admitted to being the Watergate scandal's whistleblower, "Deep Throat," on May 31, 2005.
"Deep Throat " is the pseudonym given to Felt who provided information to The Washington Post in 1972 about the involvement of United States President Richard Nixon's administration in what came to be known as the Watergate scandal.
Felt is due to begin filming in March 2016.
