The event held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Sunday, November 25, saw impressive performances from the four finalists, OV, Awal, Amakye and Erza Tamaa.
The competition which started in 2012 has groomed and injected many music talents into the mainstream industry.
Naterial (Season 1 winner)
Shadrack Adjei, popularly known as Naterial is the winner of the maiden show. He beat three other contestants, Miriam, ATM (Atimbila) and Chiki to win the ultimate prize.
Naterial walked home with a GH¢100,000 recording contract from MTN and a year's promotional package and other souvenirs.
He dropped a couple of songs and collaborations with mainstream artistes including Samini but hasn’t been in a good shape since winning the competition.

Koo Ntakra (Season 2 winner)
Akuapem rapper Koo Ntakra Akuffo won the second edition of MTN Hitmaker.
He beat three other hopefuls, Cano Z, Kofi Korea and K Bee to win the mouthwatering prize of an artiste management deal worth GH¢100, 000.
He managed to drop a couple of fairly hit songs, signed to KN Records, released his debut EP “Akuaba” (Priceless) in 2017 and worked with some mainstream artistes including Sarkodie, Pappy Kojo, Strongman, Donzy and Medikal.

Torgbe (Season 3 winner)
Rapper Torgbe won the 2014 edition of the MTN Hitmaker show. The proud Voltarian beat off competition from two others Mac M and Naba.
For his prize, he went home with a GHC 100, 000 cedis recording deal.
He dropped his debut album “Arrival” in 2017, worked with Edem, Nero X, Teephlow and performed on top stages.

KiDi (Season 4 winner)
In 2015, KiDi became the 4th winner of the reality show. He beat CJ, Gunshot, Abena and Yaw to walk home with a GH¢100,000.00 recording deal.
He signed to Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment record label after the competition. He is currently among the top musicians making waves in the country with several hits and collaborations.

Kurl Songx [then Kelvin] (Season 5 winner)
Kurl Songx was crowned the winner of MTN Hitmaker season 5.
He defeated other finalists, F9, Eugene and Sir Tino to win a GH¢100,000.00 recording deal.
He signed to Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual record late after the competition and in 2017, he stirred up the airwaves with his controversial maiden song, “Jennifer Lomotey” which features BET Award-winning rapper Sarkodie. He’s also worked with late afro-dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns.
Freda Rhymz (Season 6 winner)
In 2017, rapper Freda Rhymz became the first female to win MTN Hitmaker.
She beat off stiff competition from Drew, Yaw Berk and Xali to walk home with a Ghc 100,000 recording deal and video management worth $5,000 sponsored by Content Africa.
She got signed to D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik record label this year.

OV (Season 7 winner)
Singer Okailey Verse aka OV become the second female winner of the competition at the grand finale held at the Accra International Conference Centre last Sunday.
She beat Awal, Erza Tamaa and Amakye to win the GHS100,000 recording deal. Her beat producer Magnom also won GHS10,000.00.
