OV beats Awal, others to win MTN Hitmaker Season 7
The grand finale of this year’s contest came off at the Accra International Conference Center on Sunday, with OV beating off stiff competitions from three other contestants.

This is only the second time that a female has won the MTN Hitmaker competition after Freda Rhymes first achieved the feat last year.

OV was presented with a cash prize of GHS100,000 for winning the contest, while her beats producer, Magnom also won GHS10, 000.00.
Budding rapper Awal Mohammed emerged 1 runner-up, despite being heavily tipped by many to win.
Meanwhile, fellow rappers Amakye and Erza Tamaa came in third and fourth-place repetitively
The night was crowned with musical performances from some past winners and past participants of the MTN Hitmaker competition.

The likes of Kidi, Adina, Fred Rhymes and Kuami Eugene took turns to thrill the hundreds of fans who attended the grand finale.
