But his claim is now being challenged by a patron of the show who said she used to be a fan of the self-acclaimed Dancehall King.

The Patron, who goes by the Twitter name @anguahA, dismissed Shatta Wale's claim, saying the venue was virtually empty.

According to her, patrons were asked to come forward, the lights were turned off and they were asked to turn on their phone lights which created a false impression that there was a huge turnout.

"We sold out!!!," she mockingly tweeted a video of the venue to back her claims.

She continued: "The venue was so spacious there was a guy picking up empty booze cups easily. I used to be SM. I resign."

She further accused Shatta Wale of performing just a minute of his songs, saying it was a "disappointment."

She said: "No wonder people didn't show up. What a disappointment, shatta wale's show in Amsterdam was. A disappointment and a waste of time. To travel in 2° weather to a location not easily accessible via public transport for this!

"If I wanted this bland experience of 1min performances of the first stanza of his songs, I would have stayed at home and fast forwarded his playlist. I hereby resign from the 'We like shatta wale' bandwagon."
