Perry Stentaford and his cousin Lee Stentaford will be serving food to the homeless every Thursday and Friday throughout December.
A picture of them was taken on Carnaby Street, London and the post went viral on facebook.
In an interview with Metro UK, Perry said: ‘It all started with an idea that we wanted to do something good, however small, especially at this time of year. With what’s going on in the world we just really wanted to do something positive.’
After so many people offered to help Perry and Lee, they decided to set up a Just Giving page, where people were able to donate money to buy food for the homeless.
Aiming to raise £1,000 (N300,000) they have already raised £2,243. (N700,000)
Overwhelmed by the reaction the pair have received since, Perry said: ‘The reaction has been incredible. We honestly can’t believe how positive people were in the street and have been online since we started this project'
He added that: ‘We will definitely be carrying on for sure and depending on how much money is raised we would love to purchase a hot food vehicle to give us a better platform to feed more people.'
