Double jeopardy has befallen a man as fire gutted his house during this devastating time of coronavirus pandemic, burning all the cash savings he has been doing for a long time.

According to the Nigerian man identified as Kelly Mark, he has been consistently putting away 1,000 and 500 Naira notes in his saving box as saving towards an ambition but fire has consumed all his effort beyond redemption.

The heartbroken Kelly Mark shared photos of the burnt banknotes on Facebook with the caption:

“Please guys this is what happened to me this afternoon, I have been saving this cash for some time now. Only to be called dat my house is on fire.

“I ran down and after putting off the fire my saving box was burnt, after opening it I found the money inside like this. Inside this COVID-19 wahala.. am confused of what to do.”
