Beauty tips 5 makeup mistakes every woman should avoid

Applying makeup adds glamour to every woman appearance but forgoing the rules in the beauty Industry can cause more havoc to the skin of the individual

In the world of makeup, there's always something new to learn. We are always excited to welcome the latest trends, news, and products with open arms.

However, most women don't apply their beauty products correctly, use the right brushes or follow the tricks before bed for a fresh skin the following day.

The following are five basic things that every woman should avoid:

1. Not cleaning your make-up brushes

Even the professionals, constantly forget to clean their brushes, arguing that is time-consuming. Using dirty brushes blurs the perfect effect of the technique you desire.

2. Matching foundation on the back of your hand

Why would we test foundation on our hands when we'll be wearing it on our faces? Your face and hand are often not the same colour as they don't receive the same amount of sun exposure. Try foundation on your jawline for a perfect match.

3. Sleeping in your makeup

Sleeping in your makeup is a bad habit and also makes one grow old quickly. Makeup settles in your pores and stretches them out, which is permanent over time.

4. Wearing waterproof mascara everyday.

Unless you're a very sweaty individual or a synchronised swimmer, you shouldn't wear a waterproof formula regularly. It's very drying on the lashes. And since these mascaras are hard to remove, you'll probably rub your eyes a lot during the cleansing process and end up losing some lashes.

5. Wearing too much foundation

Unless you're hiding discolouration or blemishes, there is no reason to apply foundation to your entire face  it can make you look as if you're wearing a mask. Instead, focus on trouble areas like the T-zone, around the nose, and under the eyes, leaving the rest of your skin fresh.
