These 327 hand sanitizers are registered and approved for use in Ghana, according to the FDA

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has published a list of 327 hand sanitizers which has been registered and approved for use in the country.

The FDA said this in a statement it released and was signed by its CEO, Mrs Delese A. A. Darko.

The authority warned that it is a criminal offence to offer for sale unregistered or substandard hand sanitizers to consumers.

"Following the safety measures put in place by His Excellency the President of the Republic on Ghana, the Food and Drugs Authority has fast-tracked the registration of hand sanitizers to ensure availability of quality, safe and effective of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) hand sanitizers on the market to protect the public against the spread," the statement said.
