Potholes might be good for your car!

Lei Zuo, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech's College of Engineering, has come up with a solution that turns a car's shock absorbers into an energy provider.

In Nigeria, one of the many things that destroy our cars are potholes.

Unfortunately, these things are everywhere, thanks to the many bad roads, so, they can not really be avoided.

Now, we can enjoy the abundance of this problem, all thanks to Lei Zuo, an associate professor of mechanical engineering, who has a specially-designed shock absorber.

Lei's absorber uses a unique gear combination that harvests vibrational energy from every potholes.

They can be fitted into cars without demanding any modifications to the vehicle.

Unfortunately, this absorber is not commercially available, but we will let you know when it is.
