Kwaw Kese’s ‘Year of Return’ concert
Rapper Kwaw Kese cashed in on the ‘Year of Return, Ghana 2019’ celebration over the weekend with a huge concert in Osu, Accra. On Friday, December 20, the “Dondo” hitmaker lined up top peers to rock the Oxford Street. Samini, Patapaa, Joey B, King Sark, Stonebowy, Samini, Medikal, Patapaa, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Edem, Sister Afia, and EL served enthralling performances.
Bhim Concert
Stonebwoy’s annual flagship concert was taken to Tamale over the weekend due to Afro Nation concert. His contract barred him from performing in Accra during December so he took a different venue. Dubbed ‘South Meets North’, the concert held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium was packed with top artistes including self-acclaimed Northern rap king, Maccasio, Kwesi Arthur, Fameye, Yaa Pono, S3fa, Lil Win and Jupitar, and was hosted by seasoned media personality, Abeiku Santana.
Crusade 4
La Meme Gang ran their 4th ‘Crusade’ concert on Friday, December 20 at Base Camp, Crystal Park in East Legon, Accra. Dubbed ‘Rave or Die’, the award-winning group didn’t disappoint as they delight fans with some sweet melodies from their catalogue, and with support from their peers like Sarkodie, R2Bees, Efya, Joey B, M.anifest, Kwesi Arthur, Sister Deborah, King Promise, Kelvyn Boy, Kojo Cue, Kidi, Kuami Eugene and others.
Made in Taadi concert
One of the busiest places in Ghana on Saturday, December 21, was Takoradi due to Kofi Kinaata’s annual concert, ‘Made in Taadi’. The event which has been running for years has always been successful. The “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker offered an irresistible line-up – a reason why the concert saw success. The concert which recorded a mammoth crowd attendance saw notable performances from top stars including Shatta Wale, Obrafour, Joey B, Sis Afia, Fameye, KiDi, Kwaw Kese, Donzy, Adina, Joyce Blessing and Patapaa, Quamina MP, Pappy Kojo, Dope Nation, Ayesem and Yaa Jackson.
Shay Concert
“You are Cardi B and I am Wendy Shay”! Yes, she proved it on Friday, December 20, with the second edition of her concert. Thousands of fans of the controversial songstress assembled at the West Hills Mall at Weija to watch the self-acclaimed ‘queen and hottest female musician in Ghana’ perform with her friends. Patapaa, Fameye, Dope Nation, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, KiDi, Sista Afia, Kofi Mole, Kelvyn Boy, Eno Barony, Fantana and other top stars showed up on stage.
Live From Kumasi: One Cedi and a Dream
The Rattary Park in Kumasi on Sunday, December 22, was parked with thousands of fans of Kwesi Arthur, who thronged the venue to enjoy the live version of the Tema-based artiste. Featuring a few supporting artistes (including Flowking Stone, Quamina MP and Kofi Mole), Kwesi Arthur offered nothing but awe-inspiring performance on the night. Click HERE to watch.
Saminifest
The MOBO Award-winning star shocked fans a day before his annual concert by dropping a collaboration with his arch-rival, Shatta Wale. And on Saturday, December 21, he illuminated the Dansoman High Street in Accra with ‘Saminifest’. The concert which featured some top stars including Kwaw Kese, Prince Bright, Tinny, KK Fosu, Keche, Ras Kuuku, and Kelvyn Boy saw thousands of fans of the Dansoman-based musician in attendance.
Promise Land
It was a sold-out concert. King Promise, along with his friends including Sarkodie, Efya, Kojo Antwi, R2Bees, KiDi, Mr Eazi, Joey B and Medikal, on Sunday, December 22, rocked the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel with memorable performances.
