The apparel is in two parts. The lace dress i the inside which is a body hugging midi dress and a full length overlay coat on top of the apparel. The seemingly overcoat dress is made of a silk fabric which gave the apparel a radiant look with the only difference being the lapel collar which Lydia's costume doesn't have.
