7 steps to set iPhone ringtones

Today's Tech Tips tackles the issue of setting ringtones which new iPhone users have complained of being difficult

Do you have a new iPhone and having troubles setting your desired ringtone?

Worry nomore.

On Tech Tips today, we bring you seven simple steps to do this.

1. Go to the ‘settings’ folder from the iPhone's home screen.

2. From settings, tap the ‘Sounds’ icon in the third group of options.

3. In ‘Sounds’ folder, swipe down to the ‘Sounds and Vibration Patterns’ section and look for look for ‘Ringtone’ and then tap to change it.

4. This menu shows you the list of all the ringtones available on your iPhone.

5. For the new ringtones tap the ‘Store’ button in the top right corner and you will get to the ringtone section of the iTunes Store where you can see new ringtones.

6. You can buy new ringtones or use the ones on your phone. the first set of options in the Ringtones section are ones that you bought from the iTunes Store or created using another app and have synced to your iPhone. The ones below the divider came pre-installed on the iPhone.

Note- The ‘Alert Tones’ icon seen farther down the screen can also be used as ringtones, too.

7. When you tap on a ringtone, it will play so you can preview it and decide if it's what you want. When you've chosen the ringtone you want to use as your default, make sure it has the checkmark next to it. Then tap the ‘Sounds’ button in the top left corner or click the Home button to go back to the home screen. Your choice is saved automatically.
