Players of the German national football team were this morning (Friday, November 13) evacuated from their hotel in Paris due to a bomb threat.

The Germany National Team are staying at the Molitor Hotel in Paris ahead of the international friendly with France.

An anonymous caller phoned in a bomb threat at 9:50 am on Friday morning and police evacuated the players.

“There was a threat and the hotel has been evacuated and cordoned off,” Germany's business manager, Oliver Bierhoff told Germany's Express newspaper.

The 'Die Mannschaft's' players headed to Roland Garros to play tennis after leaving the hotels.

Several players posted photos from the French Open courts.

They are expected to have lunch away from the hotel before returning briefly to pick up their kits and belongings before heading to Stade de France where they will play France on Friday night.
