The ‘I Love Taekwondo’ video contest organized by the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF), has been won by Meghis Taekwondo Academy.
Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) organise video contest to promote Taekwondo sport in the country
The contest aimed at developing the Taekwondo sport in Ghana was organized in partnership with the Korea Embassy in Ghana and Rana Motors Ghana Limited.
The contestants made video presentations to the organizers with Meghis Taekwondo Academy, Prisons Service and West Africa Mission (WAM) getting the nod out of the 20 presentations submitted.
Meghis Taekwondo Academy emerged winners among the top three with Prisons Service winning silver ant West Africa Mission winning bronze.
The Korean Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Woon-Ki Lyeo thaked the Ghana Taekwondo Federation for putting together the event and was honoured by the opportunity to sponsor the sport of Taekwondo which benefits participants and the society.
President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation also urged participants to be more committed to the sport and improve it in the country.
The clubs that participated in the competition included Accra Poly, Astoria Demonstration School For The Deaf, Hill View, Madina, Marpro, Meghis, Our Lady Mercy SHS, Ackwondo, Pippas, Power Kix, Prisons, Prixmax Warriors, Queen’s Court, Rangoon, Solomon Bennett, OSO Herman-Gmeiner, Stae School For The Deaf, Sunyani, Tema Technical and West Africa Mission.
