Murray moves past Granollers in Indian Wells

Andy Murray moved into the last 32 of the BNP Paribas Open after a straight-sets victory over Marcel Granollers.

Andy Murray moved into the last 32 of the??BNP Paribas Open after a straight-sets victory over Marcel Granollers.

Murray needed one hour, 41 minutes to get past his Spanish opponent 6-4 7-6 (7-3) in California on Saturday.

The world number two was broken early by Granollers and found himself 3-1 down in the first??set but recovered with four straight games before closing out the set.

Granollers showed plenty of fight in the second set and had the opportunity to take it to a third but Murray proved too strong for the world number 92.

Murray, a one-time runner-up at Indian Wells, hit four aces and saved two break points to complete the relatively straightforward victory at the ATP 1000 event.

Murray will face??Federico Delbonis in the third round after the Argentinian defeated Joao Sousa.
