Premier League side make €9 million offer for Raphael Dwamena
Ghanaian player Raphael Dwamena could be heading to the English Premier League.
The club has offered money in the region of €9 million to Swiss outfit FC Zurich as they seek to add to their squad and possibly maintain their spot in the English Premier League.
Dwamena moved from the Austrian Erste-Liga to FC Zurich in the January transfer window but a report by Blick indicates FC Zurich have received a 10 million Swiss Francs for the services of the 21-year-old from Brighton and Hove Albion.
"We've always had inquiries for him on the table, and yes, we currently have an offer from England, but we do not want to give it for sporting reasons," says FC Zurich President Ancillo Canepa.
"No economic need to surrender Dwamena"
“Sure, when a certain scale is reached, you have to make it as a Swiss club some time for economic reasons, so I do not want to exclude a sale, but so far there was no offer at a financial level where I would be nervous "We have no economic need to surrender to Dwamen," Canepa concluded.
Raphael Dwamena has two goals in three games in the ongoing Super League season.
