The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has denied media reports that it has banned 25 unaccredited nursing and midwifery institutions running Nurse Assistant (HAC), Nursing or Midwifery programmes in the country.

In a rejoinder, the registrar of the NMC Felix Nyanteh said publication was false.

The rejoinder specifically mentioned that the “golden sunbeam international college of science and technology as mentioned in your publication is one of the schools in the Greater Accra Region which has been accredited by the council to offer registered general nursing programme.”
