Amenfi West MP dead

The NDC MP died Tuesday afternoon at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after a protracted illness, family sources have confirmed.

Member of Parliament for Amenfi West in the Western Region on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament ticket, John Gyetua, has died.

He passed on Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.

Wife of the late MP, Madam Veronica Gyetua confirmed on Adom FM. According to her, the MP was found unconscious Tuesday morning.

“We had finished serving breakfast and we went to call him to come for food…that was when we realized he has fallen unconscious so we rushed him to the hospital and he was confirmed dead.”

Mr. Gyetua was appointed Minister of State at the Presidency by the late President John Evans Atta Mills in 2010.

The late MP was married with seven children.
