Ghana needs reforms in national teams' travel arrangements - Paul Hadzide
Paul Enam Hadzide said matters relating to travelling of the national teams need major needs to be looked at to save the country's name.

According to him, many changes are needed in that department if Ghana is to get things right when it comes to international engagements.
Pointing to the recent chaos that characterized travel arrangements of the Commonwealth Games, he said there should be strict compliance of the reforms if such a thing is never to be repeated.
“We have to drive major reforms…even before the Commonwealth Games, we had started pushing for some reforms as far as the travel of national teams and federations are concerned.

"I think that we should push hard on it and ensure strict compliance,” Mr. Hadzide said on the Joy Sports Link show.

The deputy Sports Minister also confirmed that the Sports Minister himself, Isaac Asiamah is working to ensure that there are changes in the sports sector.
“…when we met the federations some time ago he announced a 10-point agenda a shift from the status quo was what we were pushing. We need to make sure that we enforce those our regulations to the latter,” he stated.
Mr. Hadzeide was suspended some months ago over allegations of visa racketeering during the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

This was after about 50 persons who claimed to be journalists and were in Australia to cover the Commonwealth Games were arrested and repatriated for bearing false identities.

However, he was reinstated by President Akufo-Addo after coming out clean following an investigation.
