Jaguares wing Santiago Cordero has revealed that he was fortunate to avoid any serious injuries after he was involved in a car accident on Saturday.

The Argentina international lost control of his vehicle when driving after his side's 13-8 defeat to Stormers at Velez Sarsfield.

Cordero suffered cuts and bruises and did not travel with the squad for their upcoming matches in New Zealand and Japan, but is set to fly out in a fortnight.

"I was on my way back home, it was raining a bit and suddenly I lost control of the car," Cordero told Argentine Rugby Union.
