Speaking at the launch of her Leave2Live Foundation on Valentine’s Day, Afia levied new allegations against him saying her ex-husband tried to burn down her house on three separate occasions with gasoline.

Afia, who turned 35 on February 14 said Lawrence threatened to set the house ablaze, the house with which she toiled to build.

Sharing her experience with other women, she admitted that when her husband assaulted her in her naivety she believed he would change but as the days progressed, situations got worse.

She advised women trapped in abusive marriages to walk away because their spouses are set in their ways, never to change.
