Austrian Grand Prix in numbers

Nico Rosberg will be looking to make it three in a row when the Formula One season heads to Austria this weekend.

The championship leader arrives in Spielberg on the back of victory in Azerbaijan - a first win in four races - and would become the first driver to win three Austrian GPs on the bounce by triumphing on Sunday.

Rosberg now sits 24 points clear of Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who will be eager to claw back some of that deficit at the Red Bull Ring.

Here, with the help of Opta data, we take a look at the some of the key figures behind the Austrian Grand Prix:

2 - Excluding retirements, Hamilton has already finished more races outside of the podium positions in 2016 (2) than in the two previous seasons combined (1, 2015 Hungarian GP).

3 - If Rosberg wins at Spielberg, he will become the driver with the most wins in Austria (equal to Alain Prost), and the only driver to have won there three times in a row.

5 - Toro Rosso and McLaren are the two teams with the most retirements this season.

6 - McLaren have managed the most wins in Austria (6) while Ferrari have secured the most pole positions (7).

8 - Valtteri Bottas is the only driver in this F1 world championship that has completed all eight races of the season, finishing in a different position in each of them.
