Ghana midfielder set to leave Atletico Madrid

Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah is close to leaving Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

The Ghana international, who was a star at the Portuguese club two seasons ago, put pen to paper on a six-year contract with Atletico Madrid and was loaned out for the coming season to fellow Liga side Getafe.

But the loan move backfired big time as the budding talent was used in 10 matches in all competitions (8 matches in La Liga and two in the King's Cup).

And accoridng to reports in Spain, Guimaraes are ready snap up Mensah again in order to give him unlimited game time to get his career back on track.

Mensah scored five goals in 30 league appearances ito help Guimaraes finish fifth in the 2014/15 Primeira Liga season.
