Movie becomes Highest-Grossing Animated Film of 2014

Disney's Oscar-winning movie 'Big Hero 6' has become 2014’s biggest animated release worldwide.

The animated film earned $620 million worldwide, beating Dreamworks' 'How to Train Your Dragon 2'.

'Big Hero 6' opened to $56.2 million in the U.S. on November 7, $75 million in Japan — becoming the second highest grossing Disney animated release there ever.

'Big Hero 6' is also the second biggest Disney animated movie ever released in Korea and Russia, and the top animated release of all time in Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

Big Hero 6  is currently the third biggest Walt Disney Animation Studios release ever globally, behind Frozen and The Lion King.
