Chester was sacked by Hull KR last month, just three weeks into the season, following a 14-12 home loss to Wakefield.

He will work alongside John Kear from the 2017 season, with the 61-year-old Batley Bulldogs coach??set to make his return to Wakefield as Head of Rugby.
