The striker recently underwent a surgery to correct a hip problem that has plagued him this season.

The surgery performed by Dr Bryan T Kelly addressed a problem believed to be linked to Sturridge suffering so many issues with a thigh muscle.

It has however been revealed that the player will not be able to train for four years after the surgery.

Sturridge’s recovery will rule him out of the English Premier League kick-off on August 8 and four England games.
