Fancy Gadam regrets not taking education seriously

Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has opened up about one decision from his past he would change if given the opportunity to start his life over.

The Tamale-based musician revealed that he did not complete Junior High School (JHS), saying he would have taken his education more seriously if he could go back in time.

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM on September 4, 2026, Fancy Gadam was asked what he would have done differently if he had the chance to return to the beginning of his journey.

“I would have taken my education seriously because I didn't even complete JHS,” he said.

The ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker, however, said his lack of formal education has not prevented him from developing his communication skills, particularly in English.

He explained that his constant interaction with people in the music industry has helped him improve his English, describing himself as a fast learner.

“I’m able to speak English because I’m always with people who understand this game, and I’m also a fast learner,” he added.

Fancy Gadam has built a successful music career despite not completing his basic education, becoming one of the notable artistes to emerge from Tamale and the Northern Region.
