Owusu-Darko confirmed as CEO of NPRA
President John Mahama has in accordance with the advice of the Governing Board of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), given in consultation with the Public Services Commission has confirmed Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko as the Chief Executive Officer of the
Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko is a Chartered Banker with over 25 years’ experience in the banking industry. He has held various leadership and management positions as Head of Audit & Internal Control, Head of Banking Operations, and Head of Risk Management.
He is a Chartered Professional Administrator, a licensed Management Consultant and Registered Organization Development (OD) Practitioner with the International Society for Organization Development (USA). He is also a Certified International Professional Manager (IPMA-UK) and holds Executive MBA in Information Technology Management from Paris Graduate School of Management, France, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Information Technology & Telecommunication from the Glasgow School of Law (University of Strathclyde).
Before his appointment to the National Pensions Regulatory Authority, he was the Senior Vice President in charge of Banking Operations and later Consumer Banking at The Royal Bank. He was instrumental in establishing the control systems, policies and structures leading to the setting up 11 branches in the first year of the Bank’s operations. KOFI ANOKYE OWUSU-DARKO has a wide range of knowledge and experience in Financial Sector Regulation with immense administrative, management and leadership qualities to move the pension industry in the right direction.
