NBA legend Kobe Bryant killed in helicopter crash

Kobe Bryant has reportedly died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning.   

The 41-year-old basketball star's death was confirmed by TMZ Sports. 

The outlet reported that Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it crashed, with nobody on board surviving.

An investigation into the incident - which happened on Sunday morning - is underway.

According to TMZ, the helicopter went up in a ball of fire after hitting the ground.

Bryant -worth $500m - is survived by his wife Vanessa and their four daughters, who are thought to have not been on board.
