To breathe life into the company’s operations in the country, Decathlon intends to regularly engage in various sporting disciplines with customers and interested Ghanaians at their Nungua premises. The company believes this will facilitate collecting accurate data to design products to meet both the environmental and technical needs of the Ghanaian market.

“Our idea is to change the lives of people so we want to encourage people to do more sports because it is good for our health, and promotes better living, said Mr Tabury.

The Decathlon store at the Junction Mall will be a one stop shop for more than 40 sports disciplines including, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Hockey, Lawn Tennis etc.  The store will be a place where fans and players of lesser known sports in Ghana would get their sporting gear.

Decathlon is committed to making sports affordable for all and has launched the Sports for All Campaign (#sports4all), a campaign dedicated at encouraging every Ghanaian to pick up sports as a lifestyle.
