Children struggle in gutters for food thrown by campaigners

Children in the Ojodu area of Lagos were made to go into the gutters to pick food items thrown by campaigners.

The campaign train of the Peoples Democratic Party hit the area on Tuesday, January 20 and as usual threw food items to bystanders mainly women and children. Packs of noodles, biscuits and sweets were thrown by the campaigners and many landed in the gutters.

The poor kids however still went down into the dirty sewers to pick the items.
