Step aside - Francis Sosu advises GBA Prez on rape accusation
He said such an action will make the work of the investigators less stressful.
On Monday, a Canadian based lawyer named Kuukuwa Andam alleged that Mr. Forson raped her in Washington DC in 2012.
Speaking on Accra based Class FM, Sosu said: "Sexual allegations are very serious allegations, and while we wait for this to be investigated, I think it will be in the interest of our senior colleague who is also the president of the Bar to just step aside to allow the investigation to go on and if he’s innocent, he can always come back".
Ms Andam had alleged on her Facebook wall that: "As soon as I settled in, he asked for sex. I had already psyched myself up and so I asked him whether he had a condom. When he said no, I pleaded with him to allow me to at least go get a condom but he pinned me down & raped me. I still remember how it felt to be forcefully penetrated by him."
However, in a response through his lawyers Beyuo & Co, Tony Forson has flatly denied the allegation and said: "The allegations are palpably false and in due course, he will be vindicated”.
