Appiah who played for Juventus in the Italian Serie A during his heydays join other African stars like Samuel Eto’o, El-Hadji Diouf, Kalusha Bwalya and former South African captain Lucas Radebe are among the greats that form part of Africa XI.
Others former Africa football stars expected to feature in the team which will have Stephen Appiah are Ex-Liverpool and Guinea striker Aboubacar “Titi” Camara, Ex-Senegalese midfielder Khalilou Fadiga and ex-Cameroon utility player Geremi Njitap as well as Nigeria’s Daniel Amokachi.
Former African Footballer of the Year, Mustapha Hadji will lead other Moroccan greats in their battle against the Africa XI.
Wednesday's match comes a day after the first ever Caf Women’s Football Symposium, which started on Monday and ended yesterday in Marrakech.
