Ben Stokes will be a doubt for England's third Test with Pakistan after pulling up with a calf injury at Old Trafford on Monday.

Stokes only just returned to the England set-up after knee surgery, the all-rounder taking 2-39 in the first innings of the second match in the series.

However, the Durham man left the field in pain after only two balls of his sixth over in Pakistan's second innings.

As Younis Khan prodded back a length delivery, Stokes' attempts to collect the ball were prohibited by a sudden injury in his right leg, with the bowler immediately reaching for his calf.

Stokes left the field immediately to receive treatment and Moeen Ali completed the set of six as Pakistan sat on 75-2 in their chase of their world record 565-run target.
