Two days after the event, Stonebwoy released a statement on his Facebook page lashing out at the media for writing stories that favour them instead of focusing on his new record.

Stonebwoy’s unedited statement said: “Hero! Hero!! Hero!!! ..Different media houses will write what they wish to suit them, so to get the most catchy headline.. “like the knife incident was made up for hype etc..”

What a shame!! ...who does that after breaking yet another record of the biggest single outdoor event on the continent. Four years in a row amidst the rains of blessings.. With every artiste/movement/nation that matters in the country showing great love and support..

Mind you, medical and police reports which we have still remains protocol.

God forbid, but if a life was lost none of these procedures nor talks will bring it back... Thank god it didn’t get worse..

We are fine...”

Commenting on the said new record, Blakk Rasta has stated that the record is invalid and that, there have been several local events that have garnered more patrons than Stonebwoy’s concert.

He cited Joy FM’s “Old Skuul Reunion” and Empire Entertainment’s “S Concert” as some of the top events that have drawn a massive crowd.

“Wow! His (Stonebwoy's) fact is certainly not accurate. But, well, they say 'if you want to be a doctor, you dress like a doctor’. Maybe he wants to have a show that will be the biggest in Africa in the next few months or weeks. So, he wants to foresee this as that. He is allowed.

I wasn’t present at the concert but what I saw cannot be described as the biggest outdoor event in Africa or even in Ghana.

I think that my brother just wanted to remain hopeful,”Blakk Rasta stated on 'Pulse Chat'.
