According to Unilad.co.uk, the young woman killed herself at her home in the village of Rohini, India, while her wedding was scheduled for February 4.

Her body was reportedly found by a stranger who then rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Nisha’s brother, Ravi Kavle explained that, “My sister’s wedding was due on February 4 but she embraced death just ten days before her marriage.A youth named Nikhil Borkar is responsible for my sister’s death. He lured my sister on the pretext of marriage, then used her and started blackmailing her.”

Though the nature of the alleged blackmail is not yet clear, Ravi has called for the arrest of Nikhil Borkar to face the consequences of his action.

Meanwhile, police reportedly say they are investigating the matter.
