A Twitter user known as Ogundeyi Oluwatosin on December 22, shared a video of the President of Student Representative Council (SRC) of Kano State University of Technology parading himself as an important figure in the school during their SRC week.

In the video, he is seen with a group of men posed as government officials while waving at a crowd.

He captioned the video: “Sometimes I am fascinated by the north and its political consciousness. Here is a video of the Kano university of science and technology student representative council; please compare to any Student union of any university in the south.”

Surprisingly, another Twitter user by the name Fu’ad Muhammad popped up with an explanation. He revealed that the video was staged – and there’s nothing special about it.

“Who the hell you think you are that you ll raise voice on Kust Wudil & north in general, this was a Carnival day where the SRC served as government officials, the SRC president you saw acted as the president, he got ministers & other government appointees, must you attack North?,” he tweeted.

Another user called it ‘acting’.

Below is how Twitter reacted to the viral video.
