She was found dead in the room of her police boyfriend at Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central District of the Ashanti Region.

The police upon investigations said the boyfriend of the deceased Vida Frema, Sergeant Bright Opoku, who is stationed at the Konongo Divisional Police command, reported that he left his girlfriend in the room for work on the morning of the incident.

He said he returned in the evening and found her hanging in the bedroom.

The police has also discovered a cut on her lower arm and a blood-stained knife in the room.

The body has been deposited at the Steward Hospital for autopsy to be conducted.
