This orange seller is doing weird stuff to her oranges you need to see now

It appears that the substance in the bucket is food colour and it was being used just to improve the pigments of the orange so that they look appetizing to consumers.

The 1 minute 32 seconds video shows the woman sitting comfortably on a kitchen stool surrounded by two big trays and a bucket. In the video, the woman is seen dropping about a dozen oranges in the bucket which comes out looking very yellow. The video was shot in the middle of the process as some oranges had already been ‘yellowed’.

That's because it is generally perceived that yellow colored oranges are sufficiently riped, sweet and as such would entice customers to patronize.

The video which is believed to have been filmed in Madina has sent shockwaves across the country. That is because in recent times, many Ghanaians have taken up the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy eating regime.
