Held in the spectacular beach and forest locations of Busua village in Ghana’s Western region, the festival offers a programme of live music, sound systems, parties, open-mics, surfing, treks, tours, yoga, football & volley ball tournaments, BBQs and boat trips. On the Saturday nights, after a day of activities, as night falls, the party turns to the surrounding forest for the legendary Asa Baako Jungle Party.

Now in its 7th edition, Asa Baako – One Dance has become an established fixture on Ghana’s entertainment calendar, and is fast becoming a renowned fixture on the international festival calendar. “Asa Baako is a time to get Bush-Fabulous in Africa. We've all been waiting for Asa Baako - a truly magical and uplifting festival experience that has its own quirky style rooted in Ghanaian culture - bringing everyone together into one uplifting dance!" stated co- founder and producer Yemisi Mokuolu the brain behind the brand and festival.

“Tourism is important to us at Asa Baako, and our vision remains unchanged, this year we intend to launch an app that will help tourists still find their way and enjoy the Western Region its culture, ideas, art, beautiful scenery and all it has to offer.” she finished.

This year’s festival will be concentrated along the shores of the Busua Beach Resort although patrons can and will be hosted in several other hotels. “This year is a special year for us the people of Busua and Ghana in general, as we celebrate Ghana’s 60th anniversary of its independence, Busua is rich with history and perfect as a tourist destination, we are pleased to host people from all walks of life and take them through this wonderful journey” commented the General Manager of Busua Beach Resorts.

Access to the festival is free, although prices for the parties over the weekend vary and are cheaper if booked in advance. Asa Baako - One Dance is a Party with a Purpose and each year uses culture and creativity to promote the environment, empowerment and entrepreneurship in the area. “We are passionate about how music and the arts can create positive social change. Over the years, we've been working closely with the local community to deliver programmes that make a real difference to people’s lives”, co-founder and co-producer Mr Kofi Debrah.
