Belief defies logic, stretch your faith - Otabil tells Christians

Mensa Otabil tells congregation to put their belief and faith above logic in his rebuttal against social media critics

Social media commentators vexed out their anger against the church and the pastor accusing him of commercialization of the gospel and extortion from people at the conference.

Many were of the view that the revered minister of God, having criticized some unpopular actions of other clergies, should not be entangled in such issues seeming to defraud.

In response to the accusations leveled against the church, Pastor Mensa Otabil alludes that the Christian faith and walk with God is a subject of belief and faith.

He suggested that people shouldn’t judge their actions based on logic because they aren’t logical.

"Believe goes beyond logic. Logic would tell you that if you have a GHC1000 in your account then you can expend a GHC1000 because that is logical. Believe would tell you that if you have five loads of bread, you don’t feed five people. Believe would tell you that if you have five loaves of bread, you can feed 5,000. That’s not logical," he said speaking the mammoth congregation at Greater Works 2017.

He urged the congregants to believe what the scripture commands and receive their blessings thereof.

"You’re going to believe that all things are possible and you’re going to believe according to receive what has been made available to you by Christ Jesus," he admonished the church.
