Mr Collison said as at January 1, the government had failed to implement the agreement, saying that, although the payment of interim premium to members had already been negotiated for and agreed upon, the government had delayed in the payment.

He expressed concern about the delay and appealed to the government to expedite action on the payment of the interim premium.

The group has embarked on a series of strike over the years for similar reasons. In August 2016, CLOGSAG embarked on a strike over the payment of the market premium.

They expressed frustration that the government had made interim payments to other categories of workers but had failed to extend the payments to their members.

They also expressed their displeasure with a committee charged to work on market premiums for recommending their exclusion from the payments.
