Queen of Belgium in Ghana for a 3-day visit

They are expected to make a courtesy call on President Nana Akufo Addo and later address a public forum at the University of Ghana on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Queen was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, Alex De Croo.

As part of her visit, Queen Mathilde is expected to interact with the First and Second ladies of Ghana as well as meet the Minister of Gender and Social Protection.

The visit is part of moves by the Belgian embassy to solidify its bilateral ties with Ghana. The Queen is also expected to inaugurate an ICT lab at the Osu Presbyterian Senior High School  built by the Belgian community in Ghana
