Love Matters Girl, 14 years in police grips for beating 13-year-old rival to death

According to a family source, a similar fight happened last month where Faustina stabbed the deceased. But the fight has become deadly this time round.

After fighting over a man for more than a year, 14-year-old Faustina could not restrain herself as she mercilessly beat her 13-year-old rival to death upon spotting her in town with the very man they both have been dating for some time now.

The incident happened at Asamang in the Afigya Sekere East district of the Ashanti region.

Family sources of the deceased, Maa Abena confirmed the incident to Accra-based Starr Fm.

According to the family source, a similar fight happened last month where Faustina stabbed the deceased.

“I don’t know what is wrong with the two young girls, they have been fighting since last year, even last month the deceased was stabbed in a similar fight which nearly killed her,” the family disclosed.

The family source further revealed that this time around, the accused person by name, Faustina Korankye spotted her rival with the young man they both have been fighting over for the past one year and went berserk and subsequently engaged Maa Abena in a fight resulting in her death.

“The accused person punched where Maa Abena was stabbed last month when they fought. We rushed Maa Abena to Asamang government hospital for treatment but died shortly after arrival,” said the family source.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at Asamang Government Hospital Mortuary, while Faustina Korankye is in police custody assisting in the investigation.
